Corey’s Mild Award Winning Chili

1.5 pounds of Ground Chuck ( not in the tube)
2 cans dark red kidney beans (prefer Bushs)
McCormick Chili Seasoning-original (not mild)
1 Large can tomato juice-46 oz
1 small onion
1 jar tostito salsa-mild (not medium)

Brown hamburger meat with onion in pot. Drain if needed. Add kidney beans and about 1/2 package of chili seasoning, stir and cook together for about 5-7 min. Add tomato juice, seasonings and salsa. cook and simmer about 30 min. Serve with shredded cheese, fritos, sour sour cream if needed.

Seasonings Include

Cavenders-1/2 teaspoon
Ground Cumin-2.5 tablespoons
Chili powder-1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder-1/2 teaspoon
Salt and pepper to taste.

Holly’s Chili

2 large, chopped bell peppers (your choice of what color)
1 large chopped onion
3 cloves minced garlic
1lb of lean ground Turkey
1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 15 ounce can of corn (no salt added) drained
2 15 ounce cans of beans your choice (I like chili beans or black beans) drained
2tsp to 2 Tbsp of chile powder (depending on your spice preference)
1 Tbsp cumin
1 Tbsp smoked paprika
1 Tbsp onion powder
1/2 Tbsp salt
1 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high for four hours or on low for 8.
